Not a geographic map or measured route. Line length does not indicate latency.
List the main audience regions, carriers and access times. Your office location may affect administration, but assess the service from users’ networks.
Keep the requirements comparable
Choose CPU, memory and disks that meet the application’s needs, then compare regional plans. Record bandwidth, transfer allowance and IP charges together so unlike configurations are not compared on price alone.
Japan is not always Tokyo
Choose Tokyo-tagged products when Tokyo delivery is required. If a product lists only Japan, confirm the delivery city before ordering; a country label does not establish the facility location.
Test the shortlisted routes
Request test targets for the shortlisted product routes and test from the main audience networks, recording the date and time. Public probes can help, but map distance or a region name alone cannot establish latency.
